
Molly Cyr
Molly works at the Security Lab at Amnesty International, leading the team’s digital forensics education and partnership work. In 2022, she was an integral part of building the Digital Forensics Fellowship (DFF), a training programme that upskills human rights defenders and journalists in mobile device analysis. Molly’s work focusses primarily on the protection of human rights defenders and civil society organisations through risk assessments, trainings, and protection planning. She also works with Open Briefing as a Security Risk Management consultant and has previously worked with Front Line Defenders, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), and the 11th Hour Project to support defenders and organisations at risk. Molly did her undergraduate degree in Peace and Justice Studies and French at Wellesley College and a master’s degree in International Peace Studies at Trinity College Dublin.
