Asha Allen

Asha Allen is the Director and Secretary General of the CDT Europe Office in Brussels. Previously, she served as CDT Europe’s Deputy Director and Programme Director for Online Expression & Civic Space, where she led advocacy on EU legislation and industry policies affecting online expression and civic engagement. An intersectional digital rights advocate, Asha has worked extensively on online gender-based violence, collaborating with the United Nations, Council of Europe, and OSCE. She led the #HerNetHerRights II campaign to increase women’s online safety during the European elections, establishing herself as a leading policy voice in Brussels. Asha holds degrees from the University of Kent and KU Leuven, specialising in international human rights law, transnational studies, and EU policy.
